If you have been managing symptoms for a while and are ready to go deeper, then the 21-day purification program or the 28-day detox balance program may be right for you. Each of these detox programs is designed to support your body's natural ability to cleanse, nourish, and restore, with practitioner check-ins, supplement kits, and real food guidance integrated into every step.
There is a meaningful difference between grabbing a detox kit off a store shelf and following a practitioner-designed program that is tailored to your body, your health history, and your goals. These comprehensive programs are precisely that — and that difference is everything.
"Your body already knows how to detox. Our job is to give it exactly what it needs to do that job well — with structure, support, and a practitioner in your corner the entire way."

A clinical study found that a structured 21-day purification program using whole food nutrition and targeted supplementation was associated with significant improvements in perceived energy, sleep quality, digestion, and mental clarity in participating adults — with no adverse effects reported.

Absolutely not — and this is probably the most important thing to know before you start. The 21-Day Purification Program is a whole-food, whole-body reset. It is not a laxative protocol. You will be eating real food, drinking nourishing shakes, and taking practitioner-selected supplements designed to support your body — not shock it. Most participants feel more energized and less bloated within the first week.
Not everything — but you will be eating intentionally for 21 days. Days 1–10 focus on vegetables and fruit, and select proteins are added in Days 11–21. The program includes a structured meal plan, approved food lists, and recipes that most participants find surprisingly satisfying. Many clients say the eating plan is one of the most rewarding parts of the experience — not the hardest part.
Yes — the program is designed for real life. Staying active is actually built into the reset. Light to moderate exercise is encouraged throughout. If your job is physically demanding, we will factor that into your plan during your initial session so everything is calibrated to your energy needs.
The biggest difference is having a practitioner in your corner. Store-bought cleanses are generic — built for the average person, not your specific health history, labs, or lifestyle. This program includes an initial assessment, two follow-up sessions, and a secure messaging portal so you have real support throughout. The supplements are practitioner-grade whole food formulas — not off-the-shelf products.

Research supports the role of targeted nutritional support — including key amino acids and plant-based compounds — in enhancing Phase II liver detoxification enzyme activity. Specific nutrients, including L-cysteine, glycine, and magnesium, play a measurable role in supporting the body's natural toxin elimination pathways without disrupting normal physiological function.

Some people experience a brief adjustment period in the first few days — mild fatigue or slight digestive changes — as the body shifts into a deeper detox process. This is temporary and typically resolves within 3–5 days. Most participants report noticeably improved energy, digestion, and clarity by the end of Week 1. Your practitioner is with you throughout and can support you if anything feels off.
The chai shake is warm, lightly spiced, and genuinely enjoyable — think chai latte, not chalky protein powder. It contains 17g of vegan protein and plant-based magnesium, so it is nourishing as well as functional. Your daily schedule will be built into your program guide with guidance on when and how to incorporate it alongside your meals — it is designed to work with your routine, not around it.
This program was designed with sensitive systems in mind. The vegan, gluten-free formula avoids common irritants, and the three-phase approach supports detoxification gradually rather than forcing a rapid elimination response. If you have a complex digestive history or a diagnosed GI condition, we will review everything during your initial assessment to confirm this is the right fit before you begin.
This program is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, nursing, or currently taking blood-thinning medication. If you are unsure whether this is a good fit, reach out before booking — we will help you figure out the right next step.

A growing body of research supports phased, systems-based approaches to functional restoration. Sequential, phase-based nutritional and lifestyle interventions have been shown to produce significantly greater and more sustained improvements in markers of gut permeability, immune regulation, and systemic inflammation compared to single-phase approaches in adults with chronic multi-system complaints.

We understand the desire to feel better as quickly as possible — and that is exactly why we do not rush this. The body heals in layers, and the Roadmap is designed to work with that natural process. Moving through detoxification too quickly — without proper preparation and drainage support — can actually intensify symptoms and create additional stress on the body. Five months gives each phase the time it needs to work fully, so results are not just felt during the program but sustained long after it ends.
A Herxheimer reaction — sometimes called a healing crisis — is a temporary response some clients experience during deeper detoxification phases, typically in Month 2 or 3. It can feel like increased fatigue, mild headaches, digestive discomfort, or skin changes as the body processes and eliminates toxins more rapidly. Not everyone experiences this, and when they do, it is typically brief. Your practitioner will monitor you throughout every phase and can adjust the pace if needed. You will never be left to navigate it alone.
The 21-Day and 28-Day programs are powerful, practitioner-supported resets. The 5-Month Restoration goes significantly deeper. It is designed for clients with complex, long-standing health concerns across multiple body systems — not just one or two symptoms. Where the shorter programs reset and nourish, the Restoration Program systematically works through all 11 body systems in a phased, strategic order. It is the most comprehensive program we offer and produces the most thorough and lasting results.
This program is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, nursing, under 18, or currently following a doctor-prescribed protocol that may conflict with the supplement phases. If any of these apply or you are unsure, please reach out before booking — we will help you identify the best path forward for your specific situation.

The best place to start is your initial assessment — that is where we review your full health history, labs, lifestyle, and goals and determine together which program is the right fit. If you are unsure before booking, email service@nutritionalascent.com and we will point you in the right direction. Generally, if your symptoms are moderate and you want a structured reset, the 21-Day or 28-Day programs are a strong starting point. If you have complex, long-standing multi-system concerns, the 5-Month Restoration is where to begin.
Yes — all three programs are designed for real life. None of them require you to clear your schedule, stay home, or spend your weekends near a bathroom. The eating plans, shake routines, and supplement schedules are all structured to fit into a normal daily routine. Your practitioner factors your schedule into your personalized plan during the initial assessment.
Nutritional Ascent is a private-pay practice — these programs are not billed to insurance. However, a Superbill is available upon request, which you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement amounts vary by plan and cannot be guaranteed. Payment plans are available — reach out to discuss options.
Every program includes access to our secure messaging portal — so you can reach your practitioner between sessions during business hours with questions, updates, or concerns. You will never be left to figure it out on your own. That practitioner access is one of the most meaningful differences between working with Nutritional Ascent and trying to navigate a program by yourself.
